New CD recommendations

Kyle and I were gifted a $50 card to Amazon (always wonderful in my estimation). So last night, Kyle was looking through and sampling different Christian hip hop, R&B, and reggae albums when I suggested he try to find them on Amazon (we did have a gift card after all) :-) So we ended up getting several new albums (direct MP3 downloads).

One was Anthony Evans. Anthony Evans has this wonderful way of taking your "standard" praise songs and inflecting just enough into them to make them new again. Because of that, we also got an older CD of his, The Bridge

We also got Bekah Shae's newest CD (which is amazingly sweet!) There are incredible beats that draw you in to her music, but what captures you are her lyrics. They are simple in their truth but beautifully put together. I have loved all of her albums thus far and this one is no different.

I know that a lot of people have different tastes in music styles and these are more R&B but they hold such beautiful truths from scripture. It is so refreshing to be able to listen music that is enjoyable to listen to and not feel like you have to shower and repent after listening to it. We are definitely blessed by this sector of our music industry.
